Thank you agin, Joanna, for this report. I’m planning a future column for my substack “Breaking through” in which I will discuss the Fraser article. Stögner does interesting work with intersectionality as an analytic.
So, I see in this essay an attempt to rescue “critical theory” — an ideology and praxis elaborated by the neo-Marxists / Frankfort School— for liberal ends. I think this is wishful thinking: critical theory leads directly and logically to the anti-liberal fantasies of Marcuse (also part of that school) down to critical race theory, third wave feminism, DEI, intersectionality, and anti semitic evil cunts like Judith Butler and Francesca Albanese. The fact is we don’t need Marxist analysis or “the dialectic” to think critically about civilizational and societal claims. Critical theory doesn’t aim to understand and reform institutions. Its goal is the complete destruction of Western Civilization (as particularly symbolized and embodied by the Jews). The utopian universalism of the communist idea allows no space for dissent or difference. I hope the next generation of Jewish intellectuals jetisons these destructive methodologies that have brought us to where we are today.
You better have checked out the Hecht Museum yo😂🐋 like- when I got to Haifa Uni, first thing I did, only the day after I met my PI, was check out the 2000 year old Phoenician Merchant ship UNDERGROUND but on top of Mt Carmel OVERLOOKING Haifa's trading port?! Come on. Come oooon. It's symbolic and trippee- and full a'good feel vibes🐋👍
A beautiful, personal reflection!
Thank you so much ☺️ I always value your feedback.
Just amazing. It is a privilege just to know you!
